Focus Friday: There was once a boy who anticipated and enjoyed getting gifts every Christmas. Days prior to Christmas he would imagine himself excitedly opening his gifts and joyfully playing with his gifts. One Christmas he was outside playing with his gift when he saw his neighbor playing with his gift. At that moment, for the first time he said I like his gift better than mine. From that day forward the boy was no longer anticipating or enjoying his gift, but always looking at what others had compared to what he had which would make him sad and jealous. What can we learn from this boy about what we should focus on? Today focus on your gifts and you will not have time or energy to worry about anyone elses gifts. Remember a good gift is only a gift when it is given away. You will have joy when you focus on your gifts!
