How to lose 27 pounds – Transformative Life
Paul stated in Hebrews 12:1 "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us." I am a witness that when spiritual, mental and physical values align life is more fulfilling. I pray that my story will help encourage someone that the change you have been waiting for can happen.
The picture on the left is of me June 2014 on a missions trip in Las Trojes, Honduras. The picture on the right is of me in February 2015. I have lost 27 pounds. I have more energy. I am focused. I feel good. How did I do it?
I started with prayer to help me endure. Then I made a decision to change my lifestyle and trust the process. I also committed to eating better and doing some type of exercise 5 times a week. In the past, I learned that I would often diet with the goal of reaching the end of of the diet, so I could eat what I wanted. This would cause a yo-yo effect with my weight. I would lose weight while I was on my diet then as soon as I completed my diet I would slowly gain the weight back. I decided to change the way I think about dieting. Diet is defined as the kinds of foods a person eats which means I diet everyday.
I exercise in the mornings for consistency because my evenings are unpredictable. I will share more details in the coming weeks, months of how I am transforming my life with prayer, process and perseverance. How about you?
